Medical Students’ mental health and wellness is a topic of great interest as its implications not only for medical students but also for the patient of these future doctors. Medical student burnout can be a predictor of depression, low self-esteem, and suicidal ideations and intention to leave school. In France 49% of medical student suffered from burnout symptoms. Scientific and critical thinking need to be augmented with other ways such as emotional intelligence competencies that integrate patient needs and the student’s own life experience. Our work hypothesis that if we develop pedagogical skills on emotional intelligence it might decrease burnout and benefits the patient.
